About us

To change a small monoculture commercial conifer woodland into a biodiverse landscape with interconnected wildlife corridors, fertile soil, and a regenerating ecosystem capable of supporting a  number of small agriecological ventures and providing nutritious food for the local community.

Vision of the farm

Mhairi

Mhairi works full time for the farm and is supported by husband Austen.
She has a keen interest in soil health and loves learning about and improving methods of growing. She believes passionately in the need for good community based agriculture and the need for a fair local food system.

“I have always been happy in a pair of wellies, playing with plants and soil ever since my early days getting eating alive by midges on my grandfathers Croft near Fort William.

Austen

Austen is the handyman around the farm and he looks after the rare breed oxford sandy and black pigs on a daily basis who are busy improving and regenerating the soil in the lower fields.

“I am dealing with the infrastructure and mending all the tools that have mishaps when they hit another stone!”
